Changes in the computer room usage environment from the spring semester of 2025

From the spring semester of the 2025 academic year, the following changes will be made to the computer rooms on the Hiyoshi Campus.

Changes

1. In accordance with the Changes to Various Software Licensing Services for AY2025, the following changes have been implemented.
   
   • ArcGIS Desktop, JMP Pro, and SAS have been discontinued.
   • Signals ChemDraw (formerly ChemOffice+) and ArcGIS Pro now require account authentication after startup. You must apply in advance to authenticate your account.

2. The PDF viewing software (the software that starts when a PDF file is double-clicked) was changed from Adobe Reader to Microsoft Edge.
   (PDF viewing software: Adobe Reader is no longer installed; PDF editing software: Adobe Acrobat is still installed.)
3. Computer rooms (701, 703, 704) on the ground floor of the 7th building are no longer available for use outside of class hours (for self-study outside of class hours).
   For self-study, please use other computer rooms (Study Space with PCs on the ground floor of the 7th building, 702, PC area/lounge on the 1st floor of the library, etc.).
